I haven't been blogging for quite a while as I was caught up with plenty of work but I am finally back! LOL. I finally tried the Sephora Curacoa after so long.. well.. it isn't very appropriate for me to wear this "loud" colour on a weekday so I decided to use it as a tip colour ^^ and it turned out fabulous!

Anyway, my friend was asking me how do I do my tips because she said she just can't make her hands stop shaking enough to do a proper line and I told her so do I! My hands aren't that steady!! Here's how I cheat. All I have to do is cover the base of my fingernails with strips of adhesive tape, leaving only the tip uncovered then go over with a coat or two of nail polish. Haha! Tata I get a set of pretty nice french nails!

Here's a slight tip though. Before pasting the strip of adhesive tape over your fingernails, please remember to "decrease its adhesive power". Just repeatedly paste the strip on the back of your hand and tear it off for a few times.

Before I go off, I must make a lover declaration to the world! I love MAC nail polish!!! LOL! I really love them to bits! I know many ladies out there don't like their formulas and very much prefer OPI but I just simply adore them! No matter how badly I apply these MAC babies they just dry off to this really nice and smooth finish. Of course, I am not saying that OPI aren't great. They are but I just love MAC polishes. :X If they were cheaper, I swear I will get them all! :X

Products Used:

• MAC Prime+Prep for the Eyes
• MAC Hello Kitty Too Dolly Quad
• MAC Satellite Dreams e/s
• MAC Solar White e/s
• Bourjois Liquid Liner
• Princess Falsies
• MAC Engraved Powerpoint
• Canmake White Pencil Liner

Steps:

• Prime eyelid with MAC Prime+Prep
• Pat Too Dolly (Green-Blue) e/s on the eyelid ending just below the crease
• Apply Romping (Pinkish Red) e/s with a blending brush above Too Dolly until it's way over the crease (Just leave a little space left around the brow bone for highlight)
• Blend out the harsh line where the two e/s meet
• Using a stiff dome brush (eg 217) apply Satellite Dreams e/s along the crease about 2/3 into the eyes
• Using the same stiff dome brush, go over the Satellite Dreams with Slately Black (Black e/s in the Too Dolly Quad) to intensify the colour. Also using cricular motion, apply Slately Black to the outer corner of the eyes
• Apply Yoghurt (Light Pink) e/s on the brow bone and over Romping e/s to blend out the harshline
• Pat on a little Solar White as highlight
• Line upper lashline with liquid liner
• Put on Princess Falsies
• Line waterline and outer lower lashline with MAC Engraved Powerpoint and line inner lower lashline with Canmake White Pencil Liner

We've got the finished look ^^ I shall sidetrack a little, please pardon those unsightly stray eyebrow hairs ya? I am just feeling really lazy. :X

Swatches: MAC Something about Pink

It's gorgeous isn't it? I love this! Very pigmented and vibrant! I used 2 coats because I want the colour to pop. ^^ This nail colour actually dries up a little glossy, it didn't dry up fully matte and this surprise me. *Love* This pink has some blue undertone to it and this makes it very special. I am loving it so far. :P

Alright, finally I am posting these. :X

I love Too Dolly Quad!!! Even though the colours aren't that wearable but I love it nonetheless. :P

Yoghurt: It's very very light and it sort of blend into my skintone so I have to apply alot for the colour to show. Despite this, I love it because I can actually use this to blend out harsh lines instead since it's so close to my skin tone!! ^^

Romping: This is soooo pigmented! The colour is sooo vibrant and it's really easy to blend and the formula is not chalky at all. I only wish it has a little more shimmers in it. It's a little too matte in my opinion. :X

Too Dolly: Oh so pretty! Like Romping, it's pigmented and the thing I really like about it is that it is very clean. I dislike working with blues because it's very easy to go wrong. Some blues just turn out really muddy and I would look like I got hit by a violent boyfriend but Too Dolly is a very clean blue-green. So far so good. :)

Slately Black: So gorgeous, my favourite out of the lot! It doesn't go on very dark but the intensity can be build up. This is a perfect black for doing smokey eyes in my opinion! It has the right amount blue glitters/shimmers in it, not too overwhelming and not too little.

I love these Shy Girl & Mimmy alot! Love them to bits!
Shy Girl is really quite moisturising unlike some of the other MAC lipsticks and it is a very wearable colour which I can wear out everyday. The texture is really creamy and it goes onto my lips very smoothly even without the use of any lip balm.

Mimmy is very very pretty and combined with Shy Girl, it's LOVE. *LOL* The pearls in the lipglass is soooo fine and I simply adore the way these pearls reflect light from my lips. :P My BF said it makes my lips look juicy :X haha!

Alright, I must really apologize for the lousy, blurry picture but I am really too exhausted to retake this pictures. Anyway here's my review :) *I hope I am not biased*

Overall Rating: 5stars out of 5 stars
Would I buy it again?: Definitely YES! But too bad it's limited edition
Price: $19
Where to buy: MAC counters. Right now, this colour and Something about Pink are both OOS at the 2 Tangs counter. DFS still has some stock left so you babes may want to check the counter out. Also the collection is still not out in the other 3 counters (NAC, Robinsons in Raffles City and Isetan Scotts). NAC will be launching the HK collection of the 13th March. :)
Why I love this:

• The colour is so freaking rare! I just love it!
• The nail polish is so pigmented!!! All I need is one coat!
• The lacquer is very very very smooth and I painted all these nails really VERY evenly in no time at all! ^^
• This dried up uber fast. I can apply my top coat just 10 mins after I applied my polish.
• The packaging is adorable :P
• The polish has a natural shine on its own without the use of any top coat. *though I did apply top coat because it makes my nail colour last longer*

Downside:

• It's expensive. :X

I collected all these babies yesterday and I am just so so so so happy and excited! I absolutely love the free shopping bag that comes free with preorder/$120 purchase. I shall post a close-up picture of it soon. (My camera died on me just now.. blah :X) I must apologize as this is mostly a picture post, I will post up reviews and some EOTD soon so bear with this in the meantime.

Anyway, I must really thank my dear BF. He is sooo sweet. He wanted to make sure I get everything I wanted or pined for. If I show the slightest indication that I am interested in a particular product, he will take note and buy them all for me! I feel really blessed $ fortunate even though I don't think I deserve it. I was disappointed that I didn't get the grey nail lacquer *(On the Prowl) because it was sold out in both of the Tangs counter. My dear BF actually went down to DFS in Orchard to specially get it for me. He also bought the lipstick in Big Bow for me just because I was holding it up and examining it yesterday! I almost cried in front of him :S I will take picture of them and post them up tomorrow. So stay tune and I shall end my senseless rambling. :)

*Update: Yes, I finally uploaded all the pictures! I am totally exhausted but I feel uber satisfied :P I have tried the MAC nail lacquer in on the prowl and I am in LOVE! I will post a review soon though the pictures I taken are sucky at best. :X

MAC is launching the Hello Kitty Collection in Singapore really soon! The MAC counters in Tangs actually allow the customers with the Tangs Lifestyle card to preorder the items from 20st Feb to 1st March. The official launch will be held first in the 2 Tangs counter on the 6th of March. According to my knowledge, most of the items are still available.
