Nails: Orly Base & Top Coat/ Sephora Passio Nail Polish

I really have the sweetest boyfriend in the world!~ I went to Sasa located in Chua Chu Kang Lot 1 shopping centre with my boyfriend yesterday because I wanted to check out some fake lashes designs. And I actually spotted some Orly products on display!~ I was so excited!~ I didn't know that Sasa actually carries Orly products!

I dragged on BF to the rack and here's roughly what happened..

Me: "Eee no nail polish, they only bring in nail care products.."
BF: "Then you still look?"
Me: *ignore the BF's comment and continue browsing and spotted the ridgefiller base coat* "I should really try out some ridgefiller base coat man!~ The stupid rigdes on my nails make my nail polish looks uneven~"
Me: *spotted fast dry top coat* "OMG, they have fast dry top coat too!~ I hate to wait for my nail polish to dry loh.. don't know if it really works.."
BF: *just kept quiet*
Me: "Aiya, they are so expensive, I stick to my Sephora ones first. let's go!"

I went to the washroom after that and when I came out, my grinning BF presented me with a Sasa bag with the Orly Ridgefiller Base Coat & "In a Snap" Fast Drying Topcoat!~ I was so shocked!~ He was so sweet!~

Anyway, I only tried the products once so I don't want to review it yet. After I used it a couple of times, I will post a review entry ^^ By the way, the Orly products cost $11.90 each at Sasa. And Sasa is having this promotion which gives you a $3 cash rebate when you spend $30 in a single receipt. :P

By the way, I finally tried the Sephora nail polish in Passion!~ Here's a picture of it.

Sephora Nail Polish in Passion

It's absolutely gorgeous!~ It looks apricot in the bottle but turned out to be an orange-red. Very bright and cheery!~ I got a few compliments when I wore it out. The formulas used for these Sephora nail polishes are pretty consistent, I must say. Very good consistency and smooth upon application. Good stuff~

Nails: MAC on the Prowl with Sephora Curacoa as tip

MAC On the Prowl as base & Sephora Curacoa as tip

I haven't been blogging for quite a while as I was caught up with plenty of work but I am finally back! LOL. I finally tried the Sephora Curacoa after so long.. well.. it isn't very appropriate for me to wear this "loud" colour on a weekday so I decided to use it as a tip colour ^^ and it turned out fabulous!
Anyway, my friend was asking me how do I do my tips because she said she just can't make her hands stop shaking enough to do a proper line and I told her so do I! My hands aren't that steady!! Here's how I cheat. All I have to do is cover the base of my fingernails with strips of adhesive tape, leaving only the tip uncovered then go over with a coat or two of nail polish. Haha! Tata I get a set of pretty nice french nails!
Here's a slight tip though. Before pasting the strip of adhesive tape over your fingernails, please remember to "decrease its adhesive power". Just repeatedly paste the strip on the back of your hand and tear it off for a few times.
Before I go off, I must make a lover declaration to the world! I love MAC nail polish!!! LOL! I really love them to bits! I know many ladies out there don't like their formulas and very much prefer OPI but I just simply adore them! No matter how badly I apply these MAC babies they just dry off to this really nice and smooth finish. Of course, I am not saying that OPI aren't great. They are but I just love MAC polishes. :X If they were cheaper, I swear I will get them all! :X

Sephora Haul II: Nail Polish Yet Again

I met my bestie yesterday to go down to Sephora for a mad nail polish haul again! We tried out almost all the colours available like some crazy women. haha. It was so fun because the SA left us alone to play with the colours to our heart's content!

The nail colours are honestly very pretty. *love* They are really pretty amazing stuff so I highly recommend those who are interested to pop by the Sephora Store in Ngee Ann City. Well, I got 3 nail polishes in the end and my bestie got 2. I know I am crazy to want to get so many nail polishes but I still want more! How horrible can I get? I am insatiable! :X

Anyway, here's the names of the nail polishes that I bought:
Lacquer Nail Polish in Passion <3> - $8
Lacquer Nail Polish in Raisin - $8
Metallic Nail Polish in Smurf - $8
I highly recommend ladies who aren't used to bright colours to get "Smurf" because it's an awesome deep metallic brown that makes one looks really classy. It's not loud and not as gothic as black nail polish. Mybestie got this really nice brown-red nail polish that's super good for work too. I will come back with the name later. ^^
And as for all the hot pink ladies out there, PLEASE go check out Sephora's hot pink nail polish! It's so pretty! I just simply can't resist any bright pink colour. :X I think I should just forget about the MAC Something about Pink Nail Lacquer that is going to come out with the Hello Kitty Collection and get the Sephora one instead.

Anyway, here's some pictures to share <3

*This is so pretty! I love this one. It comes out a very nice apricot colour on my nails.*

*A matte creamy/pastel purple. This would have been perfect if it has lesser cream and more purple. :X*

*Very nice metallic deep brown*

Sephora Haul with Review: Nail Poilshes

Hello everyone, I have been feeling really lazy and laid back for a long long while so I have been neglecting the passion of my love: MAKEUP. Well, I am back now. <3>

I dropped by Orchard Road on Saturday and I got myself these babies from Sephora and boy, am I glad I got these! Thanks to the BF, here's the items:

Sephora Top Coat Ultra Brilliance - $14
Sephora Hardening & Strengthening Serum - $14
Sephora Metallic Nail Polish in Gothic - $8
Sephora Lacquer Nail Polish in Chamallow - $8
Sephora Lacquer Nail Polish in Curacoa - $8

Please pardon me but I am so going to RAVE! These nail polishes are sooooo pigmented especially those with creme and metallic finishes! The colours appear very vibrant on the nails with just a single coat! The polishes with shimmer finish are comparably lacking in terms of pigmentation but they still work well. Also, they are extremely easy to apply and not streaky at all. I highly recommend all to give these a try if you are fine with their price. :)

Here's some photos to share <3>

New Love = Sephora Nail Polishes
I will definitely check out the other colours and I will be back with more pictures and updates! ^^
